Six Indian nationals died in a jeep accident at Koshi Rural Municipality-4 in Morang district on Monday night.
The Mahindra Bolero had skidded off the road and plunged into a pit filled with floodwaters at around 9:30pm, police said.
Sanjiv Kumar Podar, Gonu Kumar Raya, Kanchan Kumari Raya, Surendra Kumar Suman, Dhirendra Kumar Raya and Lalita Devi Raya died in the incident.
Three others were seriously injured.
They were returning to India after visiting Bhedetar, Dhankuta.
