A 10-year-old girl was killed and two others were injured after being crushed by a tree at Sekhatar, Byas Municipality in Tanahu district on Tuesday.
According to SP Siddhi Bikaram Shah, Binisha Thapa, a fourth grader at Sishaghat-based Kalika School, died after being crushed by a roadside tree. Thapa was seriously injured following the incident and breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Damauli-based Ratna Hari Hospital.
Likewise, Thapa’s two sisters Ashmita Thapa, 12 and Sonisha Thapa, 8, were seriously injured in the incident. They have been referred to Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital for further medical treatment.
The three Thapa sisters were heading towards their school when the incident took place.
