The Chahare-Tokha, Trishuli-Kakani-Balaju and Trishuli-Devighat-Kolpukhola-Galchi roadways have been obstructed due to the natural disaster.
According to the police, a landslide occurred at Kakani Rural Municipality-4 along the Pasang Lhami road section at 11:30am today halting all vehicular movements. The Kakani Police Beat informed that works are underway to remove the landslide debris and resume traffic.
Likewise, vehicular movement along the Chahare-Tokha road section has been affected as the roadway has become muddied following incessant rain. The contractor hired to construct the road section has failed to complete the works resulting in the dire condition of the road section during monsoon. As a result, vehicles and commuters are facing hard time reaching to their destinations.
Similarly, various areas along the Pipaltar-Galchi road section have also been obstructed due to rain. District Police Office Chief, SP Basanta Bahadur Kunwar informed that efforts are underway to clear the obstruction and resume vehicular movement.
