Adhikari is staging the protest demanding to detain the murder accused of her son Krishna Prasad Adhikari as per the verdict of the Supreme Court.
According to Director at the Bir Hospital, Dr Bhupendra Basnet, Adhikari's health condition has worsened today, the 34th day of her hunger strike. He said that Ganga Maya has been given saline through a vein of the throat as no vein was found normal on her hands due to swelling.
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narsing KC, human rights activists Charan Prasain, Kanak Mani Dixit and Dr Kedar Narsing KC reached the hospital to take stock of the health condition of Adhikari.
Though leader KC and human rights activists were willing to talk to her, she refused to talk. It might be noted that her son Krishna Prasad, 16, was killed by the then Maoist rebels on 6th June 2004 after his abduction. Her husband Nanda Prasad also died on 22nd September 2014 in Bir Hospital during a hunger strike. RSS
