A man died after a tipper hit a scooter he was riding on at Sano Thimi in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality on Friday.
According to the police, a tipper (Ba 2 Ka 3934) en route to Sano Thimi from Pepsicola hit the scooter (Ba 66 Pa 8553) from behind killing Chet Bahadur Thapa, 48, a resident on Chelang, Sindhupalchok and currently residing at Madhyapur Thimi-6.
The tipper and its driver Rajan Khadgi, 30, fled the scene following the accident and were apprehended later on from Jagati and necessary legal action is being taken, informed Metropolitan Police Circle Chief SP Prajjwal Maharjan.
