A truck and a microbus collided at Ichhakamana Rural Municipality along the Prithvi Highway on Friday killing four people and leaving eight others injured.
Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Chitwan, DSP Shiva Sharma Acharya informed that a truck (Na 6 Kha 4064) en route to Muglin from Kathmandu and a microbus (Ga 1 Kha 7692) en route to Kathmandu from Pokhara collided head-on at Panidhar Chumlingtar in Ichhakamana at around 7:15am this morning leaving two women and a man dead.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained, said DSP Acharya.
Following the accident, the truck fell some 50 metres down the road at the river bank.
Meanwhile, the injured are being taken to Bharatpur for further medical treatment.
