Nijgadh
A 67-year-old man was killed by a herd of wild elephants at Rattanpuri in Nijgadh Municipality-11, Bara, on Wednesday morning.
Police Inspector of Nijgadh Area Police Office Bikram Lama said the wild tuskers from Parsa National Park (PNP) picked Indra Bahadur Tamang while he was asleep in his house and trampled him to death.
His body was found 20 metres away from his house.
The villagers said they had a tough time driving the marauding pack of elephants that had entered their settlement to feed on the crops they had grown.
