A special investigation committee formed under the Ministry of Home Affairs to probe the organised gold smuggling has raided a bullion store in Durbarmarg, Kathmandu on Monday.
The committee raided the RK Jewelers, the jewellery store owned by Rajendra Shakya—one of the accused in 33 kg gold smuggling case.
The case of 33kg gold smuggling case and the subsequent murder of an alleged gold carrier Sanam Shakya is currently subjudice at the Morang District Court.
