A motorcyclist died in a road accident that occurred at Devchuli Muncipality in Nawalparasi district along the East-West Mahendra Highway on Tuesday.
According to District Police Office, a truck (Na 6 Kha 5731) hit the motorcycle (Lu 23 Pa 6461) coming from the opposite direction at 36 Ghare in Devchuli of Nawalpur killing motorcyclist Krishna Prasad Tharu of Tikailigadh, Rupandehi. The accident has left pillion Tularam Kunwar of Sunalwal-10, Nawalparasi seriously injured.
Tharu breathed his last while being treated for his injuries at Bharatpur-based Old Medical College.
Meanwhile, the police have detained the truck and the driver following the incident.
