The District Court on Monday remanded Tshering Wangel to judicial custody in connection to the 33kg gold smuggling and Sanam Shakya murder case.
District Judge Narayan Prasad Sharma issued the order after the court completed recording statement from Wangel on Sunday.
Wangel is among the 63 people charge-sheeted by Morang District Attorney’s Office in connection to the high-profile gold smuggling case.
After remaining hidden for more than a month, Wangel surrendered before the authorities on Sunday.
