Police suspect Chand-led Maoist carried out arson in Chitwan

A group has torched an excavator used at a limestone mine at Kolar, Shaktikhor in Kalika Municipality of east Chitwan. The arson attack reportedly took place at 4 am on Saturday.
Deputy Superintendent at the Chitwan District Police Office Prabhu Prasad Dhakal said cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal were behind the arson attack on the excavator.
The miscreants kept some inflammable material near the driver's seat and set it on fire. The engine portion of the excavator has been burnt.
DSP Dhakal said some leaflets bearing the name of CPN- Biplav group were found at the site. RSS
