A meeting of the party’s central work execution committee on Wednesday concluded that the budget presented by the government on Tuesday was a continuity of the past though the government tried to show the budget as positive and balanced.
RPP spokesperson Sushil Kumar Shrestha, in a statement following the meet, said that the budget had failed to address the necessities and expectations of the people.
The government has failed to give a message that the country would head on the path of prosperity through the budget, read the statement.
Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada on Tuesday presented the first federal budget of Rs 1.31 trillion for the fiscal year 2018-19 in Parliament.
The budget focused on energy, infrastructure and proposes a string of reforms in social and agriculture sectors.
