A woman died after a fire broke out at a house in Gadhawa Rural Municipality of Dang on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Laxmi Rawat, 45, of Supaila, Gadhawa Rural Municipality-3.

The incident occurred when there was no on in the house.

It has been learnt that five houses and three cow sheds were also destroyed in the fire.

Police said food products and gold and silver ornaments worth around Rs 1.5 million were destroyed in the fire.

The reason behind the fire is yet to be established.
