Three persons were killed when a jeep met with an accident at Bogatan Rural Municpality of Doti district on Monday. Nine others have been injured in the accident.
DSP Heramba Sharma said the deceased have been identified as jeep owner Bhakta Dwarika of Dipayal, driver Ram Bahadur BK and Indra Devi Rawat, 45 of Bogatan. The injured people were rescued by locals and have been brought to Dipayal for further treatment.
The bolero jeep (Se 1 Ja 877), en route to Surkhet from Dipayal, fell some 100 meters down the road.
Ward Chairman at Bogatan Rural Municipality-1 Birendra Chandra informed driver’s negligence or some fault with the jeep might have caused the accident. “The road is not narrow or difficult where an accident can happen,” he said.
