Police arrested one of the men accused of gang-raping a girl of Rajpur in Bhangaha Rural Municipality.
Kishun Mahato, 30, of the same rural municipality was arrested after a video of the rape became public, according to Inspector Naresh Singh of Dhanusha Police.
The victim, 14, in her complaint said Mahato and around four other men forcefully took her to Bateshwor on a motorcycle and raped her. She had gone to watch a marriage ceremony at Rajpur in Bhangaha Rural Municipality on April 23 and was isolated when she ran away after a dispute arose during the ceremony.
Police said the accused had threatened the girl with life if she informed others about the rape. Search is on for others involved in the crime.
