Two youths disappeared while swimming in the Kaligandaki river's Yamgha stretch in Baganaskali rural municipality – 6 on Thursday.
According to District Police Office, Palpa's Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Binod Ghimire, two among four who went swimming after a religious ritual had gone missing. Two others were rescued near the river.
Twenty-five-year-old Govindra Pariyar and 24 – year – old Chandra Bahadur Pariyar from ward 6 are unaccounted for whereas Bijaya Pariyar, 22, and Sagar Pariyar, 18, from the same location were rescued, Ghimire added.
The rescued youths are being treated at the Lumbini Medical College and are said to be out of danger. Police have intensified search for the missing youths. RSS
