Three people died on the spot when a tipper hit a scooter near Nalinchok in Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur on Wednesday.
According to police, the tipper (Ba 3 Kha 6674) hit the scooter (Ba 56 Pa 1227) en route to Bhaktapur from Sanga, Kavre this morning.
DSP Dipak Shrestha of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Jagati said that the deceased have been identified as Hari Bahadur Katuwal, 50, Sabitri Ghimire, 40 and Arbind Ghimire, 13 of Mailung-6, Dolakha, currently residing at Lokanthali.
The bodies have been taken to Bhaktapur Hospital for postmortem.
Meanwhile, the tipper driver is on the run following the incident.
