A writ filed against Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav has been scrapped finally after five years.
A division bench Justices Kedar Prasad Chalise and Dambar Bahadur Shahi on Monday scrapped the writ filed by Prabin Kumar Labh and Hareram Sah arguing that the appointment of CEC Yadav was against the constitutional provision.
With the decision of the Supreme Court, the decision made by the then Constitutional Council led by Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi has got approval.
