Police have arrested two suspects in connection to the 33 kg gold smuggling and Sanam Shakya murder case. Muktiram Shrestha of Dolakha and Binod Adhikari of Jhapa were arrested from Kathmandu recently, said police. They were arrested as per the order of the special committee formed to probe the case. The District Attorney Office (DAO), Morang, said the duo has been remandedto judicial custody for five days. The DAO has filed a chargesheet against 63 people in the high-profile gold smuggling case. They have been charged with organised crime, hostage-taking and murder. Among the charge-sheeted, 33 people are still at large.
