Addressing the federal parliament while presenting the principles and priorities of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, Minister Khatiwada said the reduction of trade deficit, improving the budget system, and providing health insurance to all citizens, among other things, has been taken as the principles and priorities of the budget.
The Finance Minister said the upcoming budget would end the differences in education in public and private schools. He said the budget will strive to improve the bodies responsible for implementing development works. He added the upcoming budget will strive to end extreme poverty and hunger.
Likewise, Minister Khatiwada said the government will also work to systematize foreign employment, adding that the budget will be allocated to construct physical infrastructures needed to run the provincial and local governments.
Similarly, Finance Minister Khatiwada said the reconstruction of earthquake damaged infrastructures will also be a priority of the upcoming budget. He further said the budget will also be allocated to strengthen the organisations that control financial irregularities and corruption.
During the address, the Finance Minister called on all lawmakers to give constructive suggestions for the formulation of the budget.
