Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has directed the authorities to take action against transport entrepreneurs taking part in the transport strike.
The halt in transportation services called by Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs against the government crackdown on transport syndicates and cartel system on Friday have thrown the life of general people out of gear.
Home Minister Thapa has directed Chief District Officers of all 77 districts to take action against any defiant transport entrepreneurs as per the Essential Services Operation Act.
Minister Thapa has also directed the CDOs to arrest officials of the agitating transport committees if necessary, said a source at Home Ministry .
