Speaking at a press conference organised by the Lumbini Press Club at the Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa on Friday morning, Home Minister Thapa said the government has been working tirelessly for good governance in the country.
On a different note, Minister Thapa said the government would end the syndicate in transportation sector at any cost and the country would head on the path to prosperity through free competition.
“We will uproot the smugglers as smugglers and black marketing have hit the country’s economy hard,” said Minister Thapa, adding, “Investigation is underway regarding the 33-kg gold smuggling case. We won’t spare the culprits.”
Saying that drug smuggling and domestic violence have been increasing at an alarming rate in recent time, the Home Minister said the government will soon take a step against the same.
Moreover, Minister Thapa, who is also the General Secretary of CPN (Maoist Centre) said the unification between the CPN-UML and Maoist Centre will be announced within the next few days.
