CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that foreign power centres are trying to derail the unification bid between his party and the CPN-UML.
Speaking during a training programme for party workers organised at Chandrapur in Rautahat on Thursday, Chairman Dahal urged party cadres to join the final battle of party unification from their respective places.
Dahal further said that the unification process was endorsed by the people and it should not be delayed.
“The whole nation wants the unification to take place,” said Dahal, “It is up to us whether we can complete the unification in a respectful, rational and equal manner or not.”
The CPN (MC) Chairman said that the issue of unification is not an easy matter saying that party merger is a result of a longtime practice. “We were scheduled to hold discussions regarding unification with UML leader Madan Bhandari but he was murdered before that could happen,” said Dahal.
Likewise, Chairman Dahal informed that the party unification will get its final shape on Friday after holding discussions on the documents regarding the unification submitted by party unification coordination committee.
