Three houses were gutted in a fire on Wednesday at Mahadeva rural municipality – 5 of Saptari district.

The fire started from a cowshed belonging to one Ram Narayan Sah and spread to another cowshed nearby and Ramdev Sah's house, Area Police Office, Kanchanpur said.

Properties including food commodities, clothes and furniture valued at Rs 500,000 were destroyed in the fire, police said. The fire was taken under control by fire engines from Rajbiraj municipality, police and the local residents. RSS
