Police have caught an Indian man along with a vehicle full of textile that he had smuggled to Nepal on Sunday.
District Police Office Sunsari have arrested one Mukul Rae, 38, of Devigunj, Siliguri in West Bengal, India with textile goods worth Rs 4.4 million.
A police team under Sunsari Police Office acting police chief DSP Narayan Chimoruiya arrested the Indian man along with the goods. The police informed that Rae had brought the textile inside Nepal without paying the customs duty.
DSP Chimoriya informed that the arrested individual and the smuggled textile goods have been sent to Koshi Barrage-based Setubandh Customs Office for further investigation.
