One of the deceased was Shakuntala Devi Singh, 30, of Bela Village, Jaleshwor Municipality-7.
Singh, who was critically injured after a wall of her house collapsed on top of her, was rushed to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital where she breathed her last during the course of treatment, the District Police Office, Mahottarai, said.
Similarly, a man died after being hit by a falling tree during a gale at Khoriya in Bhangaha Municipality.
The identity of the deceased who appears to be in his mid 40s is yet to be established, police said.
Normal life in the district has been affected following the disruption of telephone and electricity lines.
People of Samasi, Bharatpur, Pokharbhindi and Matihani, among other places, have been left in a lurch after the storm blew away their house roofs. Farmers said there will be less production of mangoes this year due to strong winds.
The storm also damaged electricity poles and transformers in various places due to which people of Jaleshwor among others places have been forced to live in the dark.
According to Nepal Electricity Authority Jaleshwor Branch Chief Madhabendra Yadav, the electricity service has been disrupted as the storm knocked down around 50 electricity poles, transformers and transmission lines in various places.
Saying that the storm has also knocked down the electricity transmission line brought from India, Yadav said it might take a few days to provide electricity service in the southern area of the district.
