A man died and two others were injured in a jeep accident in Bhediyahi of Rautahat district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as jeep driver Santosh Kumar Pal, 35, of Gadimai Municipality-7.

According to Inspector Govinda Thapa of the Area Police Office, Garuda, the incident occurred when the jeep bearing Indian registration number plate BR 30 E 0335 heading towards Gaur from Garuda of the district skidded off the road and fell 100 metres down.

The injured have been taken to Birgunj for treatment, Inspector Thapa added.
