Fire in two separate places in Rautahat district destroyed four eateries and a jaggery factory on Sunday.
Police said four eateries belonging to Santa Lal Jaiswal, Rajendra Das, Sudha Devi and Aakash Mahato at Bhansar Road in headquarters Gaur-1 were destroyed in the fire. Another fire at Gadimai Municipality-4 belonging to Krishnanandan Sah destroyed the jaggery industry.
Fire engine from Gaur doused the fire at the eateries with help from security personnel and locals. The reason behind the breaking out of the fire has not been known yet. Police said they have started to assess the damage caused by the fire.
Local representatives have appealed to take precautionary measures following rise in fire incidents in the district.
