Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh welcomes PM Oli in Delhi

Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh reached Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi to receive PM Oli.

As per standard protocol, state level minister receives foreign dignitaries during state visit, however, India, prioritising PM Oli’s visit, sent its Union Minister to receive the Prime Minister.
Apart from Home Minster Singh, State Finance Minister Shiva Pratap Shukla and officials from Indian External Affairs Ministry had reached the airport to welcome PM Oli.
Likewise, acting Ambassador of Nepal to India Bharatraj Regmi, among others, had also reached the airport to welcome Oli.

PM Oli arrived here in Indian Capital leading leading a 54-member delegation—45 from Nepal and nine from India.
PM Oli’s spouse Radhika Shakya, Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali, Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Raghubir Mahaseth, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Matrika Yadav and PM Chief Political advisor Bishu Rimal, among other officials, are accompanying the Prime Minister in the visit.
Foreign Minister Gyawali, who is at Baku, Azerbaizan to attend the Mid-Term Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), is scheduled to join the PM’s delegation late today afternoon.
PM Oli is scheduled to hold a brief meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi this evening.
Similarly, the Prime Minister will also hold a meeting with Indian National Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
