Defence Minister Ishwor Pokharel has been assigned to work as the acting Prime Minister following Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s three-day official visit to India on Friday.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari assigned Minister Pokharel to take up the PM's job in the absence of PM Oli. He will perform the daily administrative works of the Prime Minister.
PM Oli is scheduled to return back from India on Sunday.
President Bhandari gave the responsibility to Pokharel on the recommendation of PM Oli in line with the new constitution, said the Office of the President
