Former king Gyanendra Shah along with his grandson Hridayendra Shah reached Dharan on Thursday and offered prayers at various temples.
Shah offered prayers at Dantakali Temple in Dharan-14. He also offered prayers at Budha Subba Temple and Pindeshwor Baba Dham during the visit.
Locals had gathered in these temples after they knew that ex-monarch had reached Dharan without prior notice.
They welcomed Shah and his grandson and also chanted slogans like ‘Raja Aau Desh Bachau’ (King save the country).
Shah has been residing at a ‘Mini Durbar’ located inside a tea garden in Damak Municiaplity-15 of Jhapa district.
He had also visited Ramdhuni Temple in Sunsari and other temples in Biratnagar on Ram Nawami.
