Nepali Congress leader Khum Bahadur Khadka, who died in New Delhi on Friday, was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat in Kathmandu on Sunday. His body, which was brought home on Saturday, was kept at the party office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, where leaders and workers from various political parties paid their final tributes. The ongoing NC central working committee meeting was postponed to mourn Khadka’s death. The meeting convened briefly on Sunday to pass a condolence motion that decided to cancel all party functions at all levels for five days. (PR)
