A woman died in an attack by a tiger in Ramauli Pratappur in Manahari rural municipality-7 of Makwanpur on Monday.
Local resident Saraswati Bartaula, 41, was collecting green fodder in the Rapti river bank when a tiger attacked her and mauled her to death, according to police inspector Chitra Bahadur Ghale.
Two others were injured when they came to retrieve the body of the deceased and were attacked by the same tiger. Of the injured one is Raj Kumar Aryal, 36, and a second youth is yet to be identified.
The injured have been rushed to Bharatpur for treatment, police said. RSS
