The Nai Publications has announced the recipients of the Nai International Award for the year 2074 BS. Dr Manfred Gerhardt Throi of Germany is to be honoured with the Nai Derunikh International Prize for his four-decade-long contribution to the expansion of Sanskrit language and service to the Nepali education sector, according to Member-Secretary of the publications Narendra Raj Prasain.
Dr Thori is the sixth personality to be honoured with the annual prize presented to the foreign nationals. It carries a purse of Rs300,000.
Likewise, Bhagwati Basnet of Israel is to be honoured with the Nai Ganesh-Durga International Prize carrying a purse of Rs100,000. She is being honoured for special contribution to the expansion of Nepali language and literature through creations and organisation.
