Absconding murder convict nabbed after 19 years

A murder convict, was had been on the run for the past 19 years, was arrested from Butwal on Monday.
Nawaraj Poudel, 65, was arrested from Devinagar of Butwal-16 today, DSP Yubaraj Khadka said.
The District Court had sentenced him to 20 years in prison for the murder of Pitambar Dhakal of Khairapur in Gulariya-2.
Poudel had killed Dhakal on March 30, 1999 following a dispute over financial transaction.
Of the four persons charged with the murder, the court had acquitted two while two others are still on the run.
Dhakal’s body was recovered from a wheat field 13 days after the murder.
