An Indian man has been arrested with illegally imported Indian chickens from Mahottari.
An Armed Police Force (APF) team arrested Chandan Kumar Chaudhary of Sitamadi in Bihar with 1,200 chickens on Wednesday night. Chaudhary was caught smuggling the chickens on a motorcycle (BR06AF 7994).
The caught chickens are produced by HR Hatchery and are worth over Rs 100,000, police said.
The chickens have been destroyed by Animal Quarantine Office in Maliwara. Chaudhary and the motorcycle have been submitted to the customs office.
