Province 5 forms planning commission

The commission, which will plan development projects for the province, will have three members, including one woman.
Prakash Kumar Shrestha has been appointed the vice-chairman of the commission.
A native of Balkot, Arghakhanchi, Shrestha has been working as the director of Nepal Rastra Bank in Kathmandu. He is an economics postgraduate.
Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Baijanath Chaudhary, also the spokesperson of the Province 5 government, said the other commission members would be appointed within a week.
The province government is also preparing to present a white paper to shape the future of Province 5.
“The province ministers are expected to present their reports within 10 days. The white paper will be presented basing on those reports,” Chaudhary said.
Besides, the province government is also working on its programmes and policies. They are expected to be announced on April 8.
The Cabinet meeting of Tuesday also appointed Sher Bahadur KC as the press adviser of Chief Minister Pokharel.
KC is a Butwal-based journalist with a long experience in the media industry.
Province 3 assembly to sit on March 26
HETAUDA: Province 3 Speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha has convened the Province Assembly meeting on March 26. The meeting will deliberate on two bills that have been registered at the Province Assembly Secretariat. Speaker Shrestha said the meeting will also form five thematic committees to oversee the works of the province government. The province government is also expected to announce its programmes and policies, and unveil an interim budget for three months on the same day, Shrestha added.
