Police on Tuesday made public two persons arrested in possession of a leopard hide, a loaded musket and its bullets from Machhapuchhare Rural Municipality-2 of Kaski district.
Gam Bahadur Gurung, 40, and Chandra Bahadur Paudel were paraded amid a press conference at the District Police Office in Pokhara this afternoon.
According to DSP Khadka Bahadur Khatri , a police team deployed from the District Police Office, Kaski, raided a house on Monday and confiscated a leopard hide, a loaded pistol, its bullets and 27 bullet shells.
During the interrogation, Gurung said that the Paudel gave him the hide to conceal it after killing the wild cat.
Based on Gurung’s information, Paudel was also arrested on the same day.
