Bal Krishna Khand has been appointed as the Chief Whip of Nepali Congress (NC) on Tuesday.
NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the Parliamentary Party leader, appointed Khand as the Chief Whip of the party.
Leader Khand, who is said to be close to President Deuba, was elected to the House of Representatives under the Proportional Representation (PR) category.
Leader Minendra Rijal and Min Bishwokarma were also vying for the Chief Whip post.
Also, President Deuba has also appointed Bijay Kumar Gachhadhar as the deputy leader.
