Nepali Congress leader and former Home Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has been injured in a road accident that occurred at Satthari of Surkhet district on Sunday.
According to the police, the vehicle, Ba 15 Cha 8352, a Toyota Hilux, that the NC leader was travelling on met with an accident while making a turn along the Rantna Highway en route to Chinchu from Khadka’s Birendranagar-based home.
Leader Khadka has received injuries to his chest and legs while his personal bodyguard, Police Sub-Inspector Sanjib Acharya, sustained injuries to his head in the accident.
Both the injured are receiving medical treatment at Birendranagar-based Madhya-Pashimanchal Regional Hospital.
