Dhangadhi
Normal life in the district has been affected due to a bandh enforced by Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal on Saturday.
All the markets, educational institutions, transportation and industries remained closed in the district.
The party has reportedly called the bandh demanding release of its cadres arrested in connection with the attack on the Mayor of Ghodaghodi municipality Mamata Prasad Chaudhary.
Kamal Chettri, Bharat Bahadur Shah, Purna Prasad Khanal and Hridaya Raj Bogati were arrested three days ago for attacking Chaudhary.
Mayor Chaudhary is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu.
