With the support of the Madhes-based party, PM Oli-led government now has a two-thirds majority.
RJP-N presidium member Mahendra Rae Yadav informed that the party will vote for the Prime Minister without any written consensus or agreement.
“We have not forged any written agreement,” said leader Yadav talking about the discussion that took place regarding the vote of confidence in the parliament, “We believe in what the PM says and the Prime Minister will deliver on what he has said.”
Leader Yadav was of the view that the image of the Prime Minister and the government would reach new heights if PM Oli remainied committed towards the unity of Nepal and Nepali people. “If that happens, you (PM Oli) and your government will reach new heights,” said Yadav, “And that moment will be a point when the issues and demands regarding the development of mountains, hills and tarai will be fulfilled, a tradition of trust will begin and the nation will move towards prosperity and peace.”
However, RJP-N presidium member Yadav clarified that the party has not decided to to be a part of the government as of now. “Being in the government is now the priority of the RJP-N,” he said, “We can think about joining the government if the ruling parites create an environment for that after amending the constitution."
