Indian man held with Rs 4.5m
An Indian national has been arrested in possession of Rs 4.5 million from Biratnagar Metropolis-15 on Tuesday.

According to Inspector Santosh Niraula at Area Police Office in Rani, Narayan Sah of Forbesganj in Aararia district, India, was held with the amount while he was entering Nepal from Jogbani in a car. The notes were hidden under the seat of the car (BR 11 AA 6265).
The seized notes are in denominations of Rs 1000, Rs 500 and Rs 100, said Niraula. The confiscated cash, car and Sah have been handed over to the District Police Office, Morang, for investigation.
Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar BC at the District Police Office said that an investigation is going on to find how the cash was brought to Nepal from India.
Police suspected that the cash collected from the Nepali customers in the Indian market could have been brought by hundi operators.
According to a police source, Indian businesspersons have been found bringing in cash collected from the bordering Indian bazaar illegally.
Currency smuggler remanded in custody
HETAUDA: The Makwanpur District Court has remanded an Indian national into custody on charge of smuggling foreign currency. The single bench of Dhruba Kumar Piya on Tuesday ordered Sheshnath Prasad to regional prison in Bhimphedi as he could not post the bail amount. Prasad was caught with $35,000 from Ratomate Check Post four months ago. The court had set Rs 3.67 million as a bail amount for his release.
