Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal on Monday handed over letters to the chiefs of Siddhicharan Municipality and Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality demanding resignation of local level representatives.
Protesting the parallel government, the party demanded resignation of the representatives.
“We humbly request the representatives to resign to help the people’s government to prepare the basis of social security along with development and prosperity,” read a statement issued by the party with the letterhead titled of ‘Janaparishand Nepal’. “Otherwise, you should face the repercussions of the evolving situation.”
Party District Secretary Amrit Basnet said that the letters would be handed over to all the local level chiefs by Tuesday.
