Two persons died in a tractor accident near Galeshwordham in Beni Municipality-9 of Myagdi district on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as tractor driver Ram BK of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-3 and his friend Ganesh Karki of Galeshwor, Beni Municipality-9.
The incident occurred when the four-wheeler (Ga 1 Ta 2558) heading towards Beni from Galeshwor skidded off the road and plunged into Kaligandaki River at around 3:30 pm.
According to DSP Basundhara Khadka, the cause behind the accident was over-speeding.
