Former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the time has come to register impeachment motion against dishonest people in judiciary.

Speaking at a programme organised to felicitate families of martyrs and disappeared at Bardaghat, Nawalparasi on Friday, Chairman Dahal said, “The time has come to file impeachment motion against the people in the judiciary who are dishonest, and fail to provide justice to the poor and advocate for wrongdoers, just for the sake of money and teach them a lesson.”

Chairman Dahal said that without such move it was impossible to achieve good governance and development adding, “We are aware that the people will punish us if we do not take action against such corrupt individuals.”

Saying that the Nepali people are presently wishing to see stability and development in the country, Chairman Dahal said, “Good governance is needed for stability and development; for that we need to end the misconducts that are happening in the judiciary, civil service and security agencies and the leadership of the both parties [CPN-UML and CPN (MC)] is committed not to leave any individuals who are corrupt or are indulged in misconduct.”

Likewise, the CPN (MC) Chairman said that development, good governance and prosperity are the only agenda of the left alliance government.
