Chief Minister of Province 2 Mohammad Lal Babu Raut has warned of staging a hunger strike against what he called non-cooperation from the central government.

Raut said that he will be forced to stage the hunger strike if the central government keeps on hindering the works of provincial government.

Though the country ushered into federal set-up, the central government hasn’t shed its old mindset, Chief Minister Raut said.

Saying that the staffers, police and administrations under the central government are not cooperating with the provincial government, Raut said that he had also written a letter to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli regarding the issue.

Speaking at a province-level interaction with the local government for the development and prosperity organised by the Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) in Janakpur on Tuesday, Chief Minister Raut said, “There is a need to bring changes in the central government mindset. We will resort to protest if the central government behaves like in the past.”
