A woman died and eight others were injured in a jeep-tractor collision at Tinpangre in Phalgunanda-3 of Panchthar district along the Mechi Highway on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Lila Maya Chemjong, 58, of Phalgunanda-2.The injured are receiving treatment at  the Ilam Hospital.

Police said that incident occurred after the jeep (Me Ja 2793) collided head-on with the tractor (Me 1 Ta 3553) and fell some 10 metres down the road this morning. RSS
