A Nepal Army team has defused a pressure cooker bomb at Bidur Municipality in Nuwakot district.

The bomb was planted at the Gangate-Dhikure-Machapokhari road section. Transportation along the road section was halted after the bomb was recovered at the middle of the road.

District police chief SP Basanta Bahadur Kunwar informed the bomb might have been planted by Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party.

Transportation along the road section resumed after the bomb was defused.
