CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal have agreed for a party unification within this week.
The top leaders of the left alliance agreed for the party merger by the first week of the Nepali month of Falgun (mid February) during a one-to-one meet held at Manbhawan, Lalitpur on Monday.
According to a source, the party leadership and modality will be discussed in another one-to-one meeting of the leaders scheduled for Tuesday morning followed by a meeting of Party Unification Coordination Committee which will finalise the merger process.
The duo, during today’s meet, has agreed for party unification prior to the formation of government.
